Sweet Results: Halloween Survey Shows Hallandale Beach Wants Safer Streets

A Halloween community event in Hallandale Beach brought out 200 residents who shared their vision for 8th Avenue’s future. The street survey revealed strong public support for safety improvements, with 74% backing traffic calming measures. Top priorities include better pedestrian crossings, improved lighting, and safer speeds. The survey data will guide street improvements to create a more walkable, bikeable Hallandale Beach.

Senior Residents Speak Up About Road Safety in the Village of Palm Springs Senior Citizen Health Expo 2024

Recent feedback from Palm Springs seniors reveals significant traffic safety concerns in our village, with one-third of Senior Health Expo survey participants reporting involvement in local traffic accidents. Speeding on major roads and pedestrian safety top the list of concerns, sparking calls for enhanced safety measures like speed bumps, better street lighting, and safer crosswalks. These insights are now driving changes in Palm Springs’ Vision Zero Action Plan to create safer streets for residents of all ages.

Village of Palm Springs Trunk or Treat – A Vision Zero Event

On October 19th, 2024, DDEC participated in the Village of Palm Springs’ Trunk or Treat event, where we gathered feedback for the Vision Zero Action Plan. Our team, represented by Uyen Dang and Orlando Toro, engaged with over 100 attendees through a survey. We’re excited to use this input to help make Palm Springs safer for everyone!

On October 15, 2024, Ingalls Park buzzed with excitement as Hallandale Beach residents gathered to discuss the future of 8th Avenue. From 2 to 4 PM, families, kids, and community members came together to share their visions for improving this vital street.
