Metacaulk MC 150+ fire stop sealant is activated by fire exposure, providing a general fire-rated solution for construction joints and through penetrations. Prevents the spread of flames, smoke, hot gases, and water. All systems are rated for up to 4 hours per ASTM E814 (UL1479) & ASTM E1966 (UL 2079) test standards.Features: Water-based, non-sag, and VOC compliant. Protected against mold growth in wet & dry stages with a combination of biocides. Offers flexible set and excellent freeze-thaw properties, curing to an elastomeric seal suitable for dynamic movement. Designed for interior use and is paintable. Safe and easy to use; no dilution or mixing is required. Application is simple and retrofit-friendly, using a conventional caulking gun, bulk loading gun, trowel, or pump. STC rating 65. Minimum 3-year shelf life and intumescent.
