The city of Opa-locka took another step towards a safer future this past Saturday by hosting a community event to discuss road safety initiatives. The highlight was a dialogue about Opa-locka’s Safety Action Plan and the Vision Zero goal to eliminate traffic fatalities and injuries by 2030. Attendees had a platform to provide input and were encouraged to participate in an upcoming Vision Zero Community Workshop featuring experts from the renowned Dutch Cycling Embassy. The workshop will focus on enhancing bicycle infrastructure in Opa-locka.
