DDEC with City of Hallandale on 8th Street Complete Street Open House

Thank you to everyone who visited our 8th Avenue Complete Streets booth at the Hallandale Beach City Hall Courtyard. Your enthusiasm and engagement helped make this event a success, and your insights are invaluable in shaping the future of this important corridor.

At the open house, we shared our vision for a safer, more connected 8th Avenue featuring separated multi-use paths, enhanced crossings, and improved landscaping. Community members explored design concepts, shared their experiences, and provided thoughtful input on proposed safety improvements.

We’re excited to announce that our project presentation is now available as an on-demand webinar at VZFLA.com/hallandalebeach. The webinar provides a comprehensive overview of the project’s safety improvements, community engagement findings, and proposed design concepts.

Your participation reinforces our commitment to creating a Complete Street that serves all users – whether walking, cycling, driving, or using transit. This project, funded by the Broward County Transportation Surtax, demonstrates how we can work together to enhance mobility and safety in Hallandale Beach.

Stay involved by visiting our website for project updates and future engagement opportunities. If you couldn’t attend the open house, the on-demand webinar is a great way to learn about the project and provide your feedback. Together, we’re building a safer and more accessible Hallandale Beach.
